We believe that it is absolutely vital that all personnel involved in monitoring or managing any water treatment program understand and recognise their scope of responsibility and in order to achieve this, they are well trained and competent at their job.
Training and competency is the cornerstone of any successful water treatment programme and is a key requirement of BG01, BG02, BG03, BG04, BG05, BG06, BG08, BG11 and BG13
At Deep Water Blue we have been delivering bespoke high quality and interactive training programmes to clients for over 20 years.
We offer training for the purposes of helping to achieve compliance with industry standards such as BG04.
We offer on, off-site or remote (Teams, Zoom etc.) training in disciplines such as:

Our courses typically involve a technical presentation, followed by a site-specific review of plant and a written test to conclude.

Each training course lasts several hours and will provide an in depth review of the subject matter involved, such that the personnel sitting the course will go away having significantly improved their levels of both operational and technical knowledge.
Once your training course has been completed, additional back-up support is provided by our service teams, who meet clients and reinforce the information passed on. This continuous process of reinforcing training, concepts and ideas, leads to competence being achieved far more quickly, than simply by what might be gleaned from a classroom or online environment.
Our trainers are technically competent and time served professionals, with extensive knowledge of water based systems.

Closed Circuit Boiler Water Treatment (CCBWT) - Course dates on application
Closed Circuit Boiler Water Treatment (CCBWT) is a two-day training course, designed to cover all aspects of CCBWT both from a legislative and best practice perspective. If you contract out your boiler water treatment you need to recognise the work the contractor is carrying out and advising for your system to keep it operating at its optimal condition.
This new training course has been launched in conjunction with the CEA published Guidance Note “BG02 Guidance on Safe Operation of Hot Water Boilers” and BG04 Section 5 “Boiler Water Treatment Guidance for………Hot Water Boilers”, to cover closed circuit heating systems of all sizes and pressures (LTHW – HTHW) apart from domestic.
Not many people appreciate that pressurised hot water systems are specifically mentioned in the HSE INDG436 document “Safe Management of Industrial Steam and Hot Water Boilers – A Guide for Owners, Managers and Supervisors of Boilers, Boiler Houses and Boiler Plant”. Water is fundamental for the hot water raising process, but it is generally recognised that nearly all serious boiler failures can be traced back in some way to poor management of water quality in the boiler and hot water system. Suitable and sufficient training for boiler owners, operators and managers in the correct selection, operation, maintenance and testing of water treatment activities in their boiler house is therefore essential, not only to comply with the law, but in order to ensure that hot water boilers are operated safely and efficiently at all times.
Following the completion of the 2 day training course and 1 hour exam, the successful candidate will receive an ID Card and Certificate valid for 5 years.

These courses are not for Chemists or Water Hygiene people, they are for the people looking after boiler plant.
You don’t have to be BOAS accredited to attend this course, just operating or managing the boiler plant.
Our one day introduction to boiler water treatment and also our on demand video training are also available on request.
The one day “Introduction to boiler water treatment course” is designed for those candidates with some prior knowledge of boiler water treatment but who require some consolidation, prior to sitting the two day SBWTT training course (steam boiler water treatment training).

This on demand video based course is designed for those candidates with no prior knowledge of boiler water treatment whatsoever and is an entry level course.
